The native token on the Flare network is called FLR. The token is used to pay for transaction fees, participate in network governance, and staking in the Proof-of-Stake consensus mechanism.

Staking Flare is instant. It takes up to 21 days to unstake from the moment you initiate the unbonding process. During this time you will not earn rewards. Once the process is complete, you can transfer/trade your FLR tokens.
